In 1995, Charles Horth founded System Technologies for Industry (STI) as a value added reseller for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), now part of Hewlett-Packard.
STI gained experience in the pulp and paper and aluminum smelting industries.
1998
STI was appointed as a vendor and a certified integrator for Proficy Software, a product developed by Mountain Systems, which was later purchased by GE.
2000
STI entered the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry and won an MES-MOM contract with a major CPG company.
2004
STI earned certification as a Premier Solution Provider for GE Fanuc, its highest possible certification level.
2008
Resource Information Systems Inc (RISI) published a case study on STI’s success with Cascades Tissue Group (pulp and paper industry) that reviews how STI helped Cascades compete in their global markets.
STI opened an office in the UK to support customers in the European market.
